Can someone make it ? I had an idea for GUS, but I'm not sure if it's really working: The GUS can simultanously use the DAC and ADC (the SB cannot). There are really good guitar processor which can produce very cool effects. Theh use only digital (as far as I know) functions to make these sounds. So if I plug a guitar to the GUS mic in and have the effect functions I can execute them on the incoming data, and send them to the GUS output. It must be workin'. I've never tried it but if someone can please ANSWER me ASAP!!! Or is the GUS or the computer too slow to calcute the effects realtime? However, for some of us $135 is still a fair amount of cash to lay out for unknown quality. I wonder if Eric could post one or two of the patches that he thinks represent a big improvement, so we could hear for ourselves.
